Vasudha RESIDENCE
Banashankari, Bangalore
Area: 3000 SFT.
Year: 2013

An openness of plan and easy flow of spaces both laterally and vertically are the main features of this house designed for a young family in the city. The front facade was located very next to the road so that a garden could open up at the rear. Punctures were cut into the roof at various points to bring in light or create small gardens within the built envelope. Large sliding louvred panels in the front balcony gave the house privacy and shielded it from road noise. Natural stone in cladding and in screen walls brought an element of ruggedness that contrasted with the polished stone on the floors.
